Adult Clicker Training

Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. Whether you have an adolescent dog; 6 to 18 months, or an adult dog; 18 months plus, clicker training will help you to use positive reinforcement to iron out any problems your dog is presenting.

If your adult dog already has experience of clicker training, then you can continue to more advanced levels of obedience, all the while keeping it fun, positive, and effective. You can also apply clicker training to competitive pursuits such as flyball, agility, dog shows, etc.

I offer one-2-one personal in-home dog clicker training instruction. All training is customised to your goals and needs, and is carried out at your home, and your local environment.  Local environment training is important as it gives you real world experiences, and the knowledge and confidence to handle real situations.

My style of clicker training instruction is to keep it simple for you but effective, my aim is to give you the necessary tools and guide you in how to use them.

For each new behaviour being trained I will first demonstrate by example, but I will quickly hand over to you and take a back seat. My job is then to observe you clicker training your dog and if needed prompt you, and where necessary step in with a helping hand. At the same time I will make you aware of what is happening and why it is happening.
